Katelann's Debut Single Grandad's Guitar is out Now and available on iTunes and all major streaming platforms!
This song touches on the very beginning of Katelann's musical career as a singer- songwriter and how at the early age of 7 she was handed down her Grandad's Guitar after he passed away. The song intricately delivers the determination Katelann had to learn how to play his guitar and carry on her Grandfathers Legacy of being a well known County Music Artist. Katelann's Grandad, Jimmy Grealy "The Chinchilla Slim" was well known for his Country Music in the western downs area and remembered strongly for his finger picking style and let me just say slim would have been proud! .
Katelann had started writing Grandad's Guitar a few years ago but wanted to make sure before it was released that it was truly ready for the world to hear. Working on her songwriting abilities Katelann decided it was time to share her song and Co Wrote the remainder of it with Catherine Britt & Melody Moko. Two outstanding woman whom are both Golden Guitar winners and currently taking over the Country Music scene in Australia by storm. They met Katelann while she attended the CMAA Academy of 2020 and created a bond that seen them mentoring her musical journey while she exchanged personal training sessions via Skype to them during the first breakouts of the pandemic. This was an opportunity of a life time for Katelann to finally take her dreams to the next level and also meet some other amazing hardworking inspirational woman.
With hopes of one day being a well know Country Music Artist and Golden Guitar winner of her own this introduction to Katelann Maree with her first debut single she is already well on her way. Later in the year she will also release her first EP which is definitely not to be missed!
Katelann's Debut EP "Different Kind Of High" is Out Now
"Different Kind Of High" Tells the tale of Katelann life so far. She kicks it off with Grandad's Guitar which mentioned above charted at #2 on the iTunes singer songwriter charts it also made it debut on the AIR Independent Artist Single Chart at #4 and Independent Artist Release at #14!
The Ep then moves into a track titled Troubled Man. This song depicts the sadness a breakup from a passed relation ship had on her children and the lack of commitment from the other parent. Something that happens all to often. It then transitions into the title track of the EP " Different Kind Of High" where it dives deep into how an escape from a relationship fuelled by Domestic Violence took place and leaving was the only option and at the end of the storm from it all seen new hopes of a better life filled with new highs along with her leap of faith into Christianity.

Lastly "Be That Man" delivers a more up beat tune with happier endings which delivers more of a Pop feel but is still deep with its country roots. This is where she finds new love in the hope that the man she is now with is the man she will keep.
